Chandana Utsavam Celebrated with Grandeur at Sri Mutt on Akshaya Tritiya

On the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, Chandana Utsavam was celebrated with great devotion and grandeur at Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Mantralayam.

The celebrations began with a ceremonial procession, in which the sacred sandalwood paste (Gandha) was reverentially carried to the Garbha Gudi (sanctum sanctorum). His Holiness Sri Swamiji performed Mangalarati to the Gandham, marking the commencement of the sacred Gandhalepana ceremony.

The sanctified sandalwood paste was ceremoniously applied (Gandhalepanam) to the Sri Rayara Moola Brundavana, followed by similar rituals to  Sri Manchalamma, Sri Pranadevaru, Sri Rudradevaru, and other revered saints brundavanas within the Sri Mutt premises.

On this auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya, H.H. Sri Swamiji formally commenced the Srimannyayasudha Patha for the 10th batch of Nyayasudha students (3 in number) in the sacred presence (divya sannidhana) of Sri Raghavendra Swamigalavara Moolabrundavana.

A new milestone for Mantralayam! H.H. Sri Swamiji performed  Bhoomi Pooja for a new pilgrim amenity center, which will provide improved accommodation and better facilities for all devotees visiting Sri Kshetra Mantralaya.
