Dasa Sahitya Museum
The Veda’s and Upanishad’s extol the various incarnations of Srihari. They speak of His form, nature and actions, of the secrets of His Creation, the glory of Demigods, the manifestation of “Om”, the different paths of devotion, the various secrets held by Vedanta’s and the magnificence of His three abodes.
As praised in the Dasapada “Vrindavanavo Harimandiravo”, one can experience this brilliance at Sri Raghavendra Swami’s Brindavana at Mantralaya. For the benefit of society, and in order to present and preserve our native customs and traditions, eminent Haridasa’s have presented the very essence of the Vedas, Purana’s and Upanishads in simple Kannada so as to impress the dullest mind.
The momentous undertaking of show casing the rare and extremely meaningful works of great Haridasa’s in the form of oil paintings has been taken up by the present pontiff of Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Mantralaya, His Holiness, 1008 Sri Sri Subudhendra Teertha Swamy.
The proposed Dasa Sahitya Museum will have two wings namely “Dasa Sahitya Darshana” and “Dasa Jeevana Darshana” show casing the works and lives of the illustrious Haridasa’s respectively.
